Gov Nwifuru Hands Over Official Vehicles to Ebonyi Varsity Vice Chancellors

Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has formally handed over official vehicles to the Vice Chancellors of Ebonyi State University, University of ICT, Oferekpe Agbaja, and the University of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering, Ezza, as part of efforts to strengthen leadership efficiency in the state’s tertiary institutions.

The presentation, which took place on Tuesday, was aimed at supporting the effective administration of the universities and enhancing overall institutional performance.
Governor Nwifuru described the gesture as a deliberate investment in leadership and efficiency, stressing that the move was not borne out of surplus resources but from the conviction that properly supported academic leaders are better positioned to deliver innovation, stability, and excellence.

According to him, empowering university leadership is critical to repositioning Ebonyi State’s higher education sector for global competitiveness.

The governor charged the Vice Chancellors and their management teams to ensure a meaningful return on the investment by mentoring, nurturing, and graduating students who will not only represent Ebonyi State with distinction but also provide practical solutions to societal challenges.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to education, describing it as a key pillar for sustainable development, human capital growth, and long-term prosperity of the state.
Governor Nwifuru added that his government will continue to prioritize policies and interventions that strengthen institutions and produce graduates equipped to compete, innovate, and lead in a rapidly evolving world.
