Billionaire businessman and politician, Prince Ned Nwoko, has addressed circulating claims suggesting that he married Nollywood actress Regina Daniels when she was 17 years old, describing them as “entirely untrue and misleading.”
In a detailed statement shared on his Facebook page, Nwoko explained that he confirmed Regina’s age before their marriage.
“During my first meeting with Regina, I asked her age, and she told me she was 21 years old. I further asked if she had any document to support this, and she presented her INEC voter’s card, which clearly shows that she was born on October 10th, 1998. I informed her that I would keep this document in my possession, and I have done so since that day,” he stated.
Nwoko also referenced a BBC interview given by Regina’s mother after the marriage, which corroborates her age. According to the records he presented, the marriage took place six years ago, making Regina 27 years old today.

He urged the public to treat claims suggesting otherwise with caution, emphasizing the need for verifiable evidence. Nwoko further alluded to Regina’s ongoing personal struggles, noting that she had begun—but abandoned—a rehabilitation program for drug addiction.
“The facts are verifiable and indisputable. Until they are, I urge the public to approach all her claims with discernment,” he added.
The couple, whose marriage has attracted widespread media attention, continues to be a subject of public scrutiny amid rumors and social media speculation
