The Ebonyi State Government has formally presented the proposed 2026 Budget Estimates, tagged the “Budget of Actualization and Hope,” to stakeholders across the state for their input.
During the presentation, the government appreciated the contributions of traditional rulers, community leaders, civil society groups, the private sector, and other stakeholders whose ideas and participation continue to shape policy directions in the state. Officials noted that such engagement strengthens the democratic process and ensures that development priorities align with the aspirations of the people.
A major highlight of the proposed 2026 budget pegged at over ₦800 billion is the plan to establish a state-owned cement factory, a project expected to boost industrial growth, generate employment, and enhance the state’s revenue base.
According to the government, the 2026 Budget of Actualization and Hope will be formally presented to the Ebonyi State House of Assembly on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, for legislative consideration.
The administration reiterated its commitment to transparency, inclusiveness, and delivering development driven by the needs of Ebonyi people.
