The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 9, Umuahia has paid a courtesy visit to the Ebonyi State Government. This was contained in Facebook post from the Governor’s verified Facebook page on Monday.
According to the post, the meeting was an opportunity to discuss community policing, welfare and rewards in Nigeria.
The Governor, His Excellency Rt Hon. Francis Nwifuru expressed his satisfaction with the caliber of individuals who man the security architecture of Nigeria. He stated the readiness of Ebonyi State Government to work with the police senior officer in conjunction with the commissioner of police in the State.

“I am particularly impressed by the caliber of personalities managing the security of our Nation, Nigeria.
Today, the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 9 Umuahia, AIG Suleiman Yusuf was at my office on a courtesy visit. I listened to him with rapt attention and he is a square peg in a square hole.
As always, we will work together with him. Ebonyi State is peaceful and with our hardworking stakeholders in the security sector especially our Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi will remain peaceful and prosperous.
The meeting was an opportunity to stress on the importance of community policing, welfare and reward system in the Nigerian Police”
