More than 24 hours after the official launch of the 2025 CDCFIB recruitment portal, applicants across Nigeria are still unable to access the website.
The much-anticipated portal, managed by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), was scheduled to go live on Monday, July 14, 2025, following a public announcement on the board’s verified social media pages.
However, instead of opening at the stated time, the portal displayed a countdown timer that oddly continued to increase in hours and minutes a glitch that confused many hopeful applicants. When the countdown finally stopped, users were met with persistent error messages and a blank page.
As of 9:00 AM on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, checks by Saltcity News confirm that the CDCFIB Recruitment Portal is still inaccessible. Several users have reported experiencing “server not found” and “host error” messages when attempting to visit the website.
Many prospective applicants, especially recent graduates, have taken to social media to express their frustration, fearing they may miss out on the opportunity to apply for positions in the Nigeria Immigration Service, NSCDC, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Correctional Service.
The CDCFIB has yet to release an official statement addressing the issue or providing a new timeline for when the portal will be fully operational instead a post made on the board’s facebook page on tuesday asserted that tthe portal is fully back and operational but a check by Saltcity News confirmed that the glitches are yet to be resolves.
Saltcity News will continue to monitor the situation and provide timely updates.
