Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Barrister Chinemenma Emma-Ugoji, daughter of his late media aide, Ekwueme Emma Ugoji, on her recent call to the Nigerian Bar
In a touching tribute shared on his official Facebook page, Atiku described the milestone as a deeply personal moment. He recounted the tragic loss of Emma Ugoji in an automobile accident in April 2021 and expressed joy that despite the setback, his daughter has gone on to achieve her father’s dreams
“When we lost Emma in April of 2021 in an automobile accident, we provided support to Chinemenma, who was already a high-flying student of the American University of Nigeria, to complete her studies at the university,” Atiku wrote.
He celebrated Chinemenma’s achievement as a fulfillment of her late father’s hopes, adding,
“It is a thing of joy for all of us that Emma’s dream for his daughter was realised even in his absence.”
Atiku also applauded Mrs. Ngozi Emma-Ugoji, the widow of the late media aide, for her strength and resilience in keeping the family together.
“Congratulations also to Mrs. Ngozi Emma-Ugoji for holding the fort,” he added.
