Agencies Involved in the Recruitment
The ongoing 2025 recruitment exercise covers the following federal agencies:
- Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)
- Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
- Federal Fire Service
- Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS)
The recruitment portal, initially slated to launch on June 26, 2025, was postponed to Monday, July 14, 2025. According to the statement from CDCFIB verified facebook page.
“The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), wishes to notify the general public that its recruitment portal… will now open on Monday, 14th July, 2025.” according to the post.
Who Can Apply for the Nigerian Immigration Recruitment?
The application is open to Nigerian citizens (male and female) between the ages of 18 and 35 who meet the required medical and physical standards.

2025 CDCFIB Recruitment: Positions & Qualification Categories
Category A – Superintendent Cadre
- Superintendent of Corrections – Salary Scale: CONMESS 02
- Required Qualification: MBBS or equivalent in Medicine, a valid license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), and an NYSC discharge certificate.
- Recruiting Agency: Nigerian Correctional Service.
- Assistant Superintendent I – CONPASS 09
- Requirement: A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Humanities, or related Social Science fields.
- Agencies: Correctional Service and Federal Fire Service.
- Assistant Superintendent II – CONPASS 08
- Requirement: A B.Sc. or HND in relevant fields.
- Agencies Involved: Nigeria Immigration Service, NSCDC, Correctional, and Federal Fire Services.
Category B – Inspectorate Cadre
- Inspector of Corrections – CONPASS 07
- Requirement: Certificate in Nursing or Midwifery from a recognized institution, with appropriate registration.
- Agency: Nigerian Correctional Service.
- Assistant Inspector of Corrections – CONPASS 06
- Requirement: National Diploma (ND) from an accredited polytechnic in relevant disciplines.
- Agency: Nigerian Correctional Service.
Category C – Assistant Cadre
- Correctional Assistant I & II – CONPASS 05 & 04
- Qualification Needed: O’Level certificates (WAEC, NECO, GCE) or Trade Test certificates in vocational skills.
- Agency: Nigerian Correctional Service.
- Fire Assistant I & II – CONPASS 04 & 03
- Minimum Requirement: SSCE or its equivalent, including Trade Tests in technical fields.
- Agency: Federal Fire Service.
- Immigration Assistant III / Civil Defence Assistant III / Fire Assistant III – CONPASS 03
- Qualification: At least 3 to 5 credits in WAEC, NECO, or GCE.
- Agencies Recruiting: Civil Defence, Immigration Service, and Fire Service.
